For years, I was the strong one. The dependable one. The one who handled everything.
From the outside, I looked capable. Inside, I was running on fumes.
My nervous system was constantly on. I carried responsibilities, emotions, and expectations and somewhere in there, I lost the steady version of myself.
I tried the books, the routines, the “just push through it.” Some weeks I could do anything. Other weeks I could barely answer a text. I kept calling that inconsistency.
It wasn’t. It was dysregulation.
I didn’t need more motivation. I needed regulation.

Pain isn’t the enemy. It’s a signal from a nervous system that’s been carrying too much for too long.
“Pain positive” doesn’t mean pretending things don’t hurt. It means using the pain as the starting point. The signal that the system needs regulation, not more pressure.
